The film is about the multicultural group of tenants in Linden-Nord, and in particular the residents of the rear buildings at Stärkestraße 10 and 11. It depicts the atmosphere of a close-knit, international neighborhood in the 1980s and early 1990s. Yugoslav, Spanish, Turkish, and German tenants meet in their apartments or at the Linden-Nord community center, renovate their buildings, celebrate, and discuss issues together.
