At the turn of the 20th century, Liverpool’s docks housed a thriving Eurasian community later devastated by wartime bombings. Yarli reconstructs this lost Chinatown in virtual reality, exposing a history of displacement and bringing its forgotten diaspora back to light. Built from oral histories and archival data, the digital landscape revives the daily lives of its lost seafarers.
